Running Accomplishments:

Never ran until spring 2003 in college - and ended up running through that summer. I had never participated in an organized run to that point in my life, and a friend talked me into signing up for a half two days prior to the event. I finished in 1:50 coming off of a summer of casual running. Had a great time. Want some more, but I've been lazy since then.

Short-Term Running Goals:

For the short term, I'm looking to build some endurance. Speed is less of an issue for me, as I have always felt more suited to distance than sprinting.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I like hills. We'll see what happens.

Personal:

I have a wife and three kids, with one more on the way.

No, I didn't give up. I got a second job. And a third job. Now I work 70-80 hours per week (M-F) and sleep 5-7 hours per night. And that's all I do. I tried to run today when I had a few spare moments. This kind of run used to be easy, but it really worked me today. Lack of adequate rest was probably a main contributor.

Maybe someday I can return to running, but in the meantime... it's off to work I go...
